As a result of a birth injury Casey Rohrer learned to overcome many of the obstacles of his Cerebral Palsy to lead a life full of extraordinary opportunities and experiences.
To communicate, Casey used an amazing piece of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) equipment, a Tobii Dynavox I series speech generating device with eye gaze technology. Using his Tobii, Casey was able to engage in conversation, email, surf the web, play music, text and make phone calls, video chat, and most importantly to him, write stories and plays. Check out the awesome website he created about his travels...Remember the Ramp! Casey loved musical theater, Vanilla Ice and HGTV/DIY. He was also a comedian in training. You could spot Casey around his home city of Los Angeles where he might have been having a picnic in an unusual spot or touring the local theaters with his family. He loved traveling; these were some of his Favorite Vacation spots. |
